The Merengue cyclamen differs from the classic Persicum cyclamen for the leaves and the frasatagliat flowers. It is also a perennial plant, appreciated and present in many homes and gardens for its ability to adapt and to give constant autumn and winter blooms, in particular this late species has a vigorous growth even in autumn and winter.
Exposure: it likes positions in the shade or partial shade, sheltered from the wind and warm.
Soil: it must be moist, permeable and with a neutral or slightly basic reaction. It is important that the cyclamen growing site is not too humid, as this exposes the tubers to decay and mold.
Watering: watering must be carried out regularly but taking care not to exceed it, just to prevent the soil from drying out.
Growing cyclamen in pots is simple and can lead to very vivid patches of color in areas adjacent to windows and balconies. Cyclamen is particularly suitable for windowsills and windows facing north, also perfect inside window sill pot holders. The pots can also be placed in other areas: on the ground, on railings or on raised floors. The important thing is the exposure, otherwise no problem.
