Gloxinia is a plant that is part of the Gesneriaceae family and has origins in South America and Brazil. It's about a small herbaceous perennial tuberous plant rather delicate but with wonderful and very showy blooms. They are plants that remain compact, hardly exceed 30 cm in height. They are used a lot as plants to beautify the interior of the apartments for their simplicity of care and their prolonged flowering. In fact, the plant blooms from May to August and its flowers can be even more than 10 cm long if well cultivated.
CARE
For obtain copious flowering expose the plant to light for at least 12 hours a day without letting direct sunlight reach it to prevent leaves from curling, a sign of sunburn.
