Description:

The blooming of the Buttercup is a real riot of colors, so much so that the same flower is at the top of the list of the most beautiful ornamental plants to grow.

Its shape is similar to that of the rose and, for this reason, the flower in question is also commonly called Spring Rose.

Among the main characteristics of Ranuncolo we can note the thin layers that summarize the flower, which presents truly variegated colors: from yellow, it passes through the shades of pink and fuchsia, up to the intense red.

Each seedling can reach up to 40cm in height, developing light green leaves.

Care:

It is advisable to plant the bulbs in the autumn months, in order to see the effects of flowering between spring and summer.

The bulbs of the Buttercup must be planted with the shoots facing upwards, just like for tulips and daffodils. The depth depends on the size of the bulbs themselves: the larger they are, the deeper they can be planted. Generally, the depth should be about 10 cm and the distance between the bulbs 10-15 cm.

It is advisable to choose fairly sheltered areas of the garden, as prolonged exposure to the sun's rays could cause some problems for the plant.

The ideal soil must be rich in organic substances, slightly acidic and constantly humid. Perfect is a placement near small water sources or near taller plants that offer a filtered light condition.
