The hyacinths we speak of have large, dense and opulent clusters that count many flowers. The current varieties derive from the wild species native to the Middle East, Flowering in March / April with a delicious and intense aroma. You can plant the hyacinth bulbs in planters to make the most of the fragrant flowering. Easy to grow, hyacinths require no special care. Remove the withered flowers to avoid the formation of seeds that unnecessarily affect the plant.

Care: Fertilize from March to November with liquid or granular fertilizer for flowering plants, at least once every 30 days. If planted in the garden, irrigate only in periods of prolonged drought. If it lives in a vase, wet it regularly.

Sowing: The hyacinth bulbs are planted from September to December, in a well-tilled soil in depth, quite rich, well drained, preferably in the sun, even if they tolerate shade after flowering. An addition of coarse sand is essential in heavy and clayey soil, to prevent any risk of bulb rot. Plant the bulbs with a bulb planter, which has the advantage of creating a flat bottom on which you have the base of the bulb, which is wide enough. Bury them 10-15cm deep, a little less in heavy soil. Fill the hole and compress the earth by watering lightly.
