The legend of the sunflower flower

There was a young nymph named Clizi, in love with the God of the Sun who watched him with her gaze every day. Apollo flattered by so much attention, he seduced the girl but then abandoned her choosing, even if he is not sure, his sister. The young woman was desperate and wept for nine days, staring continuously at the Sun God as he traveled in his chariot of fire. The nymph's body slowly changed, turning into a tall and thin stem, her feet became roots and her hair was dyed golden yellow. Clizia had become a sunflower that has always followed the sun with its head.

If after reading this legend, you want to buy sunflowers, watch out for the temperature! In fact, to allow the seeds to germinate they must be mild and above all the risk of late frosts must be passed. Many people who are going to grow sunflowers find themselves with un-sprouted seeds because they underestimate the "climate" and "light" factor. Sowing must take place in soft soil, and there must be good sun exposure.

Under favorable conditions, sunflower seeds will germinate within three weeks.
