There Yellow mandevilla Mandevilla of the Diamantina® 'Citrine' series introduces the combination of the bright yellow flower with a vigorous growth and a remarkably floriferous nature, a characteristic in common with the Diamantina® series.

The Mandevilla is one climbing plant and can climb up to 3 meters high. The flowers give off a delicate scent and they bloom from summer until autumn. It used to be called Dipladenia, now it has been renamed Mandevilla, it can be grown in vases to hang on balconies and terraces or as a climbing plant on walls, pergolas and fences, in the latter case it is essential adding supports.

Exposed to a good brightness it fills up with large tubular flowers throughout the summer and also produces conspicuous ramifications. It is about tropical plants who do not like exposure to excessively cold temperatures, it is good that in the cold season they are kept sheltered from frost, they can withstand minimum temperatures close to 3-5 ° C, but no less.

CARE

Choose one for the Mandevilla bright location, loves the direct rays of the sun. If placed in the shade, flower production tends to be scarce in favor of a rich production of leaves. Necessity of a lot of humidity, for this reason, at the moment of its cultivation in pot, it leaves some gravel in the saucer with a little water. The soil must be rich in organic substances, consisting of garden soil, leaves, peat and some sand. From time to time it goes nebulized a little water on the leaves, to prevent the edges of the leaves from drying out. In the fall, prune the long shoots slightly. The Mandevilla is not winter hardy, place it in a dimly lit spot. It needs plenty of water, during the summer keep the soil constantly moist, in autumn water with less water. Fertilizer the Mandevilla only in the vegetative period when the plant is in the active growth phase. Apply liquid fertilizer for flowering plants once every 15 days. This plant blooms only on the stems of the year so in autumn, at the end of flowering, prune almost all the annual vegetation to facilitate the development of the flowering branches in the following spring.
